The Judeo-Christian Church of Nazareth
In a few pages, we would like to describe, without going into too much detail, the most important Judeo-Christian things discovered at Nazareth, which, by the way, we are most willing to show pilgrims and visitors upon request.
Judeo-Christian Nazareth is the title of a short work published at the end of 1969 by father P. Testa, a professor at the Franciscan Biblical Studium of Jerusalem. Relying on architectonic ruins, inscriptions, graffiti, drawings and paintings discovered and comparing them to written documents of the Pre-Byzantine period, father Testa gives us in this remarkable work an insight into the mentality of the Judeo-Christians, their beliefs and rites. In brief, he makes us relive as much as possible the early Church which had its origins in Judaism. It was certainly a very different world from ours but one which merits consideration.
